Adrienne Lawson – Immigration Law Department

Adrienne began her training contract in September 2010 completing her 1st seat in the family department where she had worked for a year as a paralegal before moving to the immigration department to undertake a double seat. Adrienne hopes to qualify as a solicitor in September 2012.

Adrienne joined David Gray Solicitors straight after completing her Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University. She previously completed her Law degree at Cardiff University.
At the end of her Legal Practice Course Adrienne was awarded the David Auld Mental Health Prize 2008/2009 for best performing student; a prize she shared with another David Gray employee – Emma Morris. Adrienne was also award the Best Performing Student prize for the School of Law.

In between her Law Degree and Legal Practice Course Adrienne worked in Conveyancing for a year followed by a year in product liability. During the latter year Adrienne was involved in a group legal action regarding information contained on patient leaflets concerning side effects of drugs. The case involved anti-depressant drugs and addiction to them. The patient leaflet stated not-addictive. Should this case reach the appeal courts it could change existing law.

Adrienne is currently working in Immigration Department.
