Amber specialises in all areas of private family law from Contact and Residence to Domestic Violence and matrimonial matters such as Divorce and Ancillary Relief. She also undertakes a number of public law cases involving child protection issues. She has had advocacy training and has appeared in County Courts. She represents parents, grandparents and victims.

Amber read Law at De Montfort University and later graduated in her Masters in Law at Northumbria University. In addition, Amber achieved a Very Competent grade on the Bar Vocational Course at Northumbria University and was awarded the LexisNexis Prize for the best performance on the course in Legal Research. Amber was Called to the Bar in 2005.

Amber is a member of The Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn and the Association of Lawyers for Children. She is also a member of Reprieve.

Before joining David Gray, Amber spent 5 months volunteering in a capital defence office in New Orleans shortly after hurricane Katrina. Her work not only involved assisting with capital cases at trial and post-conviction stage but also the recovery effort of the criminal justice system itself.  Amber’s article in The Times entitled, Abandoned Behind Bars- Hurricane Katrina’s Prisoners, details some of the problems the criminal justice system in New Orleans faced in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina.
