Elspeth specialises in cases concerning children both Public Law care cases and cases following the breakdown of relationships between parents.  She represents parents and children and other family members.  Elspeth has experience representing parents, step-parents and children in adoption cases. 

Elspeth’s other main area of expertise is work relating to financial matters and divorce and separation. 

Elspeth is qualified as an Advocate in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and High Court. 

Elspeth is a member of the Association of Lawyers for Children and Resolution.

Elspeth is accredited by Resolution as a specialist lawyer in the areas of Private Children Law and Domestic Abuse.  She is also accredited as a member of the Law Society Family Panel and the Children Panel. 

Elspeth is a National Committee member of Resolution, which represents over 5000 family lawyers throughout the country who are committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. She is also a member of the Resolution Legal Aid Committee and sits on the Resolution North East Committee

Elspeth read Law at Cambridge University and qualified as a Solicitor in 1994.
