Emma Morris –Housing Law Department at David Gray Solicitors

 

 

 


Emma is currently a trainee solicitor in the housing department.  She began her training contract in September 2009.
Emma began her career in law at David Gray in September 2008 working as a paralegal in the family department.  Since starting at David Gray Emma has been given 2 awards for her outstanding performance – Resolution Family Law Prize for best performing student – 2007/2008 and the David Auld Mental Health Prize 2008/2009, again for best performing student – shared with another David Gray employee – Adrienne Lawson.
Emma is currently assisting with the complex and highly publicised North East Property Buyers Group litigation which involved potential fraud allegations in relation to sale and rent back agreements.

Emma also specialises in advising clients facing possession proceedings and warrants of eviction.
Emma regularly represents the firm at local university events, giving presentations regarding the work of a legal aid firm and life as a trainee solicitor.
With a law degree from Newcastle University Emma studied for her Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University.
