David Gray Solicitors Continue to Expand

Legal Aid Lawyers of the Year – David Gray Solicitors defy the recession and continue to expand by employing 3 new solicitors.
Emma Ferguson, Joanne Charlton and Amy Coates completed their training contracts with David Gray Solicitors and have been given positions as solicitors.

Emma studied law at Sheffield Hallam University before taking time out to travel the world.  She went on to study for her Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Leeds.  Before joining David Gray Emma worked for a criminal defence firm in Leeds where she gained experience working on high profile VHCC criminal cases.  During this time Emma also qualified as an Accredited Police Station Representative.  Emma completed seats in Family, Mental Health and a double seat in Crime during her training contract.  She now specialises and splits her time between Mental Health Law and Criminal Law.

Joanne studied law at the University of Leeds before completing her Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in York.  Joanne was the first student to receive the Legal Services Commission Public Legal Services prize for the best performing student.  This six month course was completed at the same time as her LPC.
Joanne began working at David Gray Solicitors as a Family Law Paralegal before starting her training contract, completing seats in Housing, Family, Immigration & Crime.  She now specialises in Family Law.

Amy studied law at the University of Northumbria where she obtained a first class honours in her exempting degree.  During this time Amy was awarded the prize for the ‘Best overall performance by a graduating student’.  Amy completed seats in Immigration, Housing, Civil and Family.  She now specialises in Immigration Advice and working towards being an Accredited Immigration Caseworker, she is currently an Accredited Probationary Caseworker.
