Can we come in together to see a solicitor?
Usually the answer to this question is “no” and there is a
good reason for this.
However, we have developed something new for our clients who DO want
to come in together.
A new type of meeting
At this meeting we don’t give you any individual advice.
Instead ( and based on key facts that you will give us about your
personal circumstances) we give you detailed information about the
various process options and services available to you both for
resolving your family problem.
We go into some detail about these here:
Family mediation and
Collaborative Family Law.
Who is this information meeting suitable for?
You have to be able to meet together and feel comfortable enough to
do so. We understand that you are likely to be having difficulties
in your relationship.
This meeting will be helpful for
• Couples separating or contemplating separation
• Separated or divorced couples who have unresolved problems which
may require legal advice
• Other connected family members who are experiencing a family
problem- such as a grandparent and parent dealing with how much time
a grandchild spends with the grandparent
Funding
There is no legal aid for this service. Our flat fee is £240
inclusive of VAT per couple. The meeting usually takes about an hour
and a half and you
will both be assessed for Legal Aid eligibility (to help inform your
decisions about process) and given an information pack to take away.
Legal Aid is not available for this meeting.

to advise someone about their individual situation. There is a need
