Jonathan Cousins

 

 

 

Jonathan specialises in Criminal Law representing and advising defendants at the police station and throughout the criminal justice system at the Magistrates’ Court, Youth Court and Crown Court. Jonathan has experience of a wide range of criminal matters; including serious violent crime, dishonesty and drug offences, sexual offences and road traffic matters.

Jonathan is a qualified Duty Solicitor.

Jonathan practices in Actions against the Police, advising the public regarding the rights and powers of the Police, and representing clients in actions for false imprisonment, trespass to property, malicious prosecution and misfeasance in public office.

Jonathan also undertakes Prison Law work, advising convicted Prisoners regarding their rights and entitlements and representing them in disciplinary hearings and before the Parole Board.

Jonathan studied Law at the University of Sussex before completing a Masters Degree at the University of Nottingham. Jonathan qualified as a Solicitor in 2005.
