Julia Metcalf - Mental Health Advice Department at David Gray Solicitors

Julia specialises in cases concerning Mental Health Law, mostly involving the detention of patients in Hospital under the Mental Health Act 1983. 

Julia represents patients at Mental Health Review Tribunal Hearings, Managers Hearings and related Meetings.

Julia advises families in Displacement of Nearest Relative proceedings and also represents The Official Solicitor in such proceedings.

Julia is a member of the Law Society Mental Health Review Tribunal Panel and the Mental Health Lawyers Association.

Julia has extensive experience of working with people with a learning disability, holding a Diploma T.M.H.A and a Law Degree from Northumbria University and qualified as a Solicitor in 1993.
