Mary specialises in:-

• Divorce and related financial matters including high net worth cases.
• Collaborative Family Law
• Children cases in Public Law (Care Cases) and where children require separate representation in private law proceedings

Mary is qualified as an Advocate in the Family Proceedings Court, County Court and High Court.

She is a Member of Resolution and is one of only 40 solicitors in the country to be accredited by Resolution as a specialist lawyer in 3 areas-in her case, Ancillary Relief, Private Children Law and Domestic Abuse.

Mary is also a member of the Children Panel.

Mary is a member of the Resolution North East Committee.  In addition, she is a Trustee and Board Member of Relate Northumberland and Tyneside.

Mary has undertaken training in Children Law for CAFCASS.

Mary was a Peer Reviewer for the Legal Services Commission and received a score of 1 (excellent) in her own file peer reviews.

Mary was a founding member of the Tyneside collaborative lawyers group and worked on the first successfully completed collaborative law case in the region.

Mary read law at Durham University and qualified as a Solicitor in 1984 after training at Bindmans the London civil liberties firm.
