Michael specialises in all aspects of the criminal law. He advises and represents clients detained at the police station while under investigation. When a client is charged with an offence, Michael can advise and represent them at the Youth Court and Magistrates Court. At the Crown Court Michael can represent clients at early hearings and litigate throughout the proceedings, providing advice and working closely with a selected barrister to obtain the best possible result for the client.

Michael is qualified to represent clients on behalf of the Duty Solicitor Scheme both at the police station and Magistrates Court.

Michael has achieved a good acquittal after trial ratio and has successfully retrieved monies confiscated by the authorities under the Proceeds of Crime Act.

Michael came to the law following a career in the Royal Marines, during which time he served on various NATO exercises.  Michael obtained his degree from Northumbria University and joined David Gray Solicitors in March 2002.
