Paula Harris –Civil Law Department
 Paula is a Solicitor in the Civil
Litigation department, where she
deals with all aspects of the
department’s work and advises on a
wide range of issues. Paula specialises in all aspects of litigation, including personal injury, contract disputes and debt recovery. She advises both individuals and businesses on the options available both in and out of Court, and has represented both Claimants and Defendants in obtaining successful settlements. Paula is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. She is currently working towards accreditation as a litigator, demonstrating her skills in personal injury work. Paula is a member of the Small Business Team (see details of our services here) and specialises in providing a complete range of legal services to fledgling and long established businesses. Her services are recognised by the Law Society’s “Lawyers for your Business” which is a scheme to recognise the expertise of business lawyers. Paula deals with all levels of Criminal Injuries Compensation claims, from straightforward claims to more complex abuse claims. She has prepared successful reviews and has also represented clients in appealing to the Tribunals Service. Paula also regularly advises on Police Complaints and Actions Against the Police. She represents clients both locally and nationally in pursuing complaints to police forces and the Independent Police Complaints Commission. She represents clients in bringing claims for compensation through the Courts arising from the actions of police officers. She is an active member of Police Action Lawyers Group and Human Rights Lawyers Group. Paula enjoys regular success in bringing claims against the Criminal Records Bureau and Independent Safeguarding Authority, from raising disputes to bringing claims for Judicial Review in more complex matters. Paula advises potential claimants about will disputes and Inheritance Act claims. She is experienced in carrying out urgent work in the Chancery Division in this complex area of law, including obtaining injunctive relief. Paula started her career with David Gray Solicitors LLP in July 2007. |
