Personal Injury Claims

If you have been involved in an accident which was not your fault, you may be entitled to receive compensation for any personal injury you suffered.

A personal injury claim is a legal process used to recover financial compensation for anyone who has suffered an injury through no fault of their own.

There are many different types of personal injury claims – from road traffic accidents, accidents at work or in public places, slips and trips and accidents abroad or on holiday.

Our specialist team regularly advise people who have suffered an injury to help them to bring a claim and recover compensation.

Who can make a Personal Injury Claim?

You can make a personal injury claim if you have been injured in an accident that was caused as a result of someone else’s negligence, or a breach of their statutory duty. A child under 18 can bring a claim, too, but the Court will appoint a “litigation friend” to help them bring their claim.

In fatal accident claims, the deceased’s financial dependents or personal representatives can bring a claim and can also claim for loss of dependency (if the deceased had the largest family income, for example).

When can I make a claim?

There are strict time limits within which you must begin legal action. These time limits vary and can depend on the accident circumstances and nature of your injuries. This is why it is important to consult a solicitor as quickly as possible.

‘No Win, No Fee’ agreements

Following an initial assessment of your claim, we will advise you on the merits of your case.  We pursue personal injury cases under a ‘No Win, No Fee’ agreement.  This means that there is no charge to you for the work we do and no deductions from your compensation.
