Sylvia joined the civil litigation department of the firm in January 2008 and specialises in disputed will and inheritance claims litigation. 

Sylvia has significant civil litigation experience in representing both Claimants and Defendants. She has a strong track record in both pursuing and defending employers’ liability claims and public liability claims.

Sylvia has also represented clients pursuing claims for compensation following road traffic accidents, some involving claims to the MIB. She has also been involved in making successful claims to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority. In addition, Sylvia has been involved in representing Miners and their families pursuing claims for bronchitis and emphysema and vibration white finger.

Sylvia read law at Newcastle Upon Tyne University.  She  completed her legal training at the College of Law in York and at Northumbria University. Sylvia qualified as a Legal Executive in June 2004 and as a Solicitor in February 2007.
