I am a paralegal working in the family department.
I appreciate that seeking legal advice can be a daunting prospect, especially at what can be a very confusing and stressful time. For this reason, I strive to keep my clients informed to the best of my ability to alleviate some of their stress and always communicate in plain English, without the use of legal jargon.
It is important to me that my client has a voice, so I always ensure I explain the options available to them clearly to allow them to reach an informed decision.
I am professional and pay attention to detail, however I am also down to earth, supportive and approachable.
Prior to joining the firm, I worked at a local charity providing legal advice to individuals that did not qualify for legal aid. I also provided a fortnightly family outreach service at Changing Lives (Sunderland) working with individuals who were involved in the GAP project and required family law advice.
I graduated from Northumbria University in 2015 with a First Class Honours in the MLaw (Exempting) degree. This included the Legal Practice Course and a Masters level qualification in law.
