Salaha Khaleque

Legal Assistant

I currently work as a Paralegal in the Immigration Department assisting clients with immigration enquiries and advising on the law, procedures and evidence required in applications.

My specialisms include Spouse and Visitor visas, EU applications and Nationality.

I understand the rules and procedures for making an application are complex and can be confusing. I can assist you in navigating through this process in a clear, coherent manner.

I am a graduate of Northumbria University, completing the Bachelor of Law (Exempting) Degree.  During my time at university I worked at the Student Law Office,  volunteered at the Gateshead Law centre and also completed a Mentorship programme with the Crown Prosecution Service.

I previously worked at David Gray Solicitors from 2009-2011 as an Immigration Paralegal and was accredited by the Law Society as Level 1 Asylum Caseworker in 2010. I have more recently been working for the Home Office at the HM Passport Office advising in particular on overseas passport applications. I have recently re-joined the firm.

I am fluent in Sylheti Bangla and can also communicate in Punjabi, Urdu and Hindi.
