Our fees: Entrepreneurs & Investors Visa – Tier 1

There are several stages of applying for a Tier 1 visa, please click on the relevant tab below to understand the pricing process.

Stage 1 – Initial Advice

We offer a fixed fee for our initial advice on options and eligibility for the different routes available. The fixed fee ranges from £300 – 350 +  VAT. The fee depends on the level of advisor and the complexity of the case. Please note that this work would be undertaken only by a Solicitor or Partner. If a client requires a same day appointment, subject to diaries, an appointment may be offered at a further £150 + VAT on top of the standard fixed fee. The cost includes:

  • Face to face / Skype meeting with the client (Telephone / E mail only also available)
  • Taking instructions
  • Advising on eligibility and the prospects of success
  • Providing written advice following meeting

The cost does not include:

  • Considering documents for an application – see Stage 2
  • Interpreter’s fees – usually £20 – £25 per hour, depending on language required and availability*

* If we need to pay any third parties then we will require the cost of this up front from you before proceeding

 

Stage 2 – Application

We offer a choice of paying at hourly rates or fixed fee for assistance with an application. The fee depends on the level of advisor and the complexity of the case. The fee also depends on the type of application being made. Please note the anticipated number of hours and fees are an estimate based on the average case. All applications are likely to vary and of course, we can give you a more accurate estimate once we have more information about your specific case. Tier 1 Investor applications Hourly rates The hourly rate is £300 + VAT. On average, this type of work takes between 4 – 5  hours to complete. This means that on average costs are between £1200 – £1500 + VAT. The exact number of hours it will take depends on the circumstances in your case. Such as:

  • The amount of supporting evidence that we need to consider
  • Whether there are multiple applicants e.g. more than one member of a family group**

Fixed Fee The fixed fee ranges from £1300 – £1600 + VAT. ** An additional fee of £50 – 100 + VAT per person is charged where there are multiple applicants from a family group requiring separate application forms Tier 1 Entrepreneur applications Hourly rates The hourly rate is £300 + VAT. On average, this type of work takes between 5 – 8 hours to complete. This means that on average costs are between £1500 – £2400 + VAT. The exact number of hours it will take depends on the circumstances in your case. Such as:

  • The amount of supporting evidence that we need to consider
  • Whether there are multiple applicants e.g. more than one member of a family group**

Fixed Fee The fixed fee ranges from £1600 – £2500 + VAT. ** An additional fee of £50 – 100 + VAT per person is charged where there are multiple applicants from a family group requiring separate application forms The cost includes:

  • Preparing and submitting the application
  • Drafting a letter in support of the application
  • Booking an appointment at the visa application centre or UKVCAS
  • Advising on progress
  • Advising on the outcome of the application

The cost does not include:

  • Home Office fees  – you will pay this to the Home Office directly
  • Translation of documents*
  • Interpreter’s fees*
  • Medical reports / notes*
  • Postage where this is over £10*
  • Any other payments to third parties necessary for your case*
  • Challenging a decision if the application is refused – see Stage 3

* If we need to pay any third parties then we will require the cost of this up front from you before proceeding How long will my application take? We cannot guarantee how long the Home Office will take to process your application. In-country applications The Home Office state that in-country applications that meet the Immigration Rules take around 8 weeks to be decided.  However in our experience some cases take far less time and some longer, depending on the circumstances of the applicant. It may also be possible to pay an additional fee for a premium or super-premium service and receive a quicker decision. Out of country applications The processing times depend on the post but where data is available the Home Office state that these take around 2 – 12 weeks to be decided.  However in our experience some cases take far less time and some longer, depending on the circumstances of the applicant. It may also be possible to pay an additional fee for a priority service and receive a quicker decision.

 

Stage 3 – Challenging a negative decision

We can advise where an application is refused and there is a right of Administrative Review. The fee depends on the level of advisor and the complexity of the case. Please note that this work would be undertaken only by a Solicitor or Partner. To prepare and lodge an Administrative Review We offer a choice of paying at hourly rates or fixed fee for assistance with lodging an Administrative Review. Hourly rates The hourly rate is £300 + VAT. On average, this type of work takes around 1 ½ – 2 hours to complete. This means that on average costs are between £400 – £600 + VAT. The exact number of hours it will take depends on the circumstances in your case. Such as:

  • The complexity of the case
  • The amount of supporting evidence that we need to consider
  • Whether there are multiple applicants e.g. more than one member of a family group**

** An additional fee of £50 – 100 + VAT per person is charged where there are multiple applicants from a family group requiring separate application forms Fixed Fee The fixed fee ranges from £450 – £650 + VAT. ** An additional fee of £50 – 100 + VAT per person is charged where there are multiple applicants from a family group requiring separate application forms The cost includes:

  • Advising on the options available
  • Preparing and lodging an Administrative Review (if advised)
  • Advising on progress

The cost does not include:

  • Administrative Review fees*
  • Translation of documents*
  • Interpreter’s fees*
  • Medical reports / notes*
  • Any other payments to third parties necessary for your case*

* If we need to pay any third parties then we will require the cost of this up front from you before proceeding Judicial Review The only remedy following an Administrative Review is by way of an application for permission for Judicial Review. The fee depends on the level of advisor and the complexity of the case. Please note that this work would be undertaken only by a Solicitor or Partner.
