I am a Paralegal working in the Family department based in South Shields.
I first joined David Gray Solicitors in November 2016, and left to complete my Bar Professional Training Course in September 2018. I came back in July 2019.
My experience covers all areas of family law. I have my own case load involving public law children where the Local Authority are involved, and private law work such as child arrangements, divorce, and domestic abuse injunctions. I also represent clients in court on without notice applications.
I understand the legal process can be very stressful and unfamiliar and so I try to advise my clients in an empathetic yet structured way. I believe it’s important for clients to understand the legal process without all the legal ‘jargon’.
I read Philosophy at UCL and graduated in 2014 with a 2:1. I completed the GDL in 2018 and was awarded the Deans Award Scholarship the same year. I completed the BPTC in 2019 with a Very Competent. I am currently working towards my LLM.
