I am a paralegal working the family team.
I offer a non-judgmental, supportive approach as I aim to minimise your distress in any way I can. I speak in non-technical language, to ensure that you are guided through what can be a complex area of the law, in a clear and accessible way. I will always aim to get the best outcome for you.
I read Law at Newcastle University and I obtained a 2.1 in 2018. During my time at University I worked at the National Centre for Domestic Violence, whereby I helped individuals obtain protection orders (known as non-molestation and occupation orders) against their abusers. I also volunteered at NEST, where I taught basic legal rights to refugees.
This year I completed my Master of Laws (LLM), with Legal Practice Course (LPC) integrated and will graduate soon. Alongside my studies, this year I have started my own project in rural Kenya. The project focusses on ensuring that girls who have been victims of gender-based-violence have representation in court, therefore bringing the perpetrators to justice.
I am also a member of Resolution, and Amnesty International. I hope to qualify as a solicitor in the near future.
