Irim Ali

Paralegal

With a keen interest in connecting families and a passion in protecting human rights, I offer skill and experience to clients that may find immigration a daunting experience. Being bilingual in Urdu and Punjabi I am able to break down language barriers for many of our clients helping them understand immigration systems and working to achieve the best outcome for them and their loved ones.

I graduated in 2011 with a Law Degree from the Open University. I then studied the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University and graduated in 2014. I have recently completed the OISC Level 1 training in Immigration and am currently studying level 2.

I am also an Elected Councillor for the Wingrove Ward (since 2008) and represent Newcastle City Council on the Management Board for the Senior Advisory Committee for Religious Education, the North East Law Centre and Our Lady & St. Anne’s Primary School. I am one of the Directors of Greening Wingrove CIC and Vice Chair of Pakistan Cultural Society.

Before coming to work at David Gray, I worked as an anti-trafficking advocate in the Senior Support Worker Outreach role working with victims of human trafficking in the North East region for a well-established charity. I supported Clients with their asylum claims and provided ongoing face to face support for them advocating for their human rights.
