Do you know about non Court options for separation and divorce?

According to a poll published by ComRes today only 1 in 2 people would consider options other than court if they were to divorce a partner. This lack of awareness about non-court based solutions is worrying because alternatives like Family Mediation and Collaborative Family Law  can be more cost-effective, save time and be significantly less stressful, especially for children, than going through court.

Today marks the start of national Family Dispute Resolution week. This Resolution initiative aims to raise awareness of the various options available to separating couples to enable them to resolve issues like family finances and arrangements for children without going to Court.

Here at David Gray we are supporting Family Dispute Resolution Week by offering free information sessions to people contemplating separation or who have already decided to separate, and want to know more about their options. Call Louise Law on 0191 243 8163 for more information.

We are also taking part in a free event on Tuesday 26 November at 5pm at the Assembly Rooms – just next door to our Newcastle office. Specialists in Collaborative Family Law, Family Mediation, Arbitration and Resolution’s new Family Matters service will be talking about these options and explaining how they can benefit couples, parents, children and wider family members. Please come along – all are very welcome!

Look out for more blogs from our dispute resolution team throughout the week, and please get in touch if you would like to know more. You can reach us by phone on 0191 243 8163, by email to louise.law@davidgray.co.uk or go to www.davidgray.co.uk and Chat Live.
