White Ribbon Day Coffee Morning at our South Shields Office
Starting on the 25th November 2014 it is hoped that men up and down the country will proudly wear a White Ribbon as part of the White Ribbon Campaign.
The White Ribbon campaign was formed by a group of men who wanted to encourage men to speak out against domestic violence to help end the violence some women suffer from males. Each year the organisation urges men and boys around the World to wear a ribbon for one or two weeks, this year starting on 25th November 25 2014 to mark the International Day for the Eradication of Violence Against Women. Wearing the ribbon symbolises a man’s pledge never to commit, condone or remain silent about domestic violence against women.
Domestic violence takes many forms and is not limited to physical violence. Domestic violence includes threatening behaviour, violence or abuse (psychological, physical, sexual, financial or emotional) between adults who are or have been intimate partners or family members, regardless of gender, age, culture or sexuality.
Here at David Gray Solicitors we have a highly skilled and experienced team who offer an effective and sympathetic service for clients who are suffering from domestic abuse. We have a member of the team on-call each day, allowing us to offer same day appointments to clients who have experienced domestic abuse.
We will be holding a coffee morning on 25th November 2014 between 10am-12pm at our South Shields office in aid of the White Ribbon Campaign. All proceeds will go to help victims of domestic abuse in South Tyneside. The proceeds will be divided between Options, WHIST and the Refuge. Come along and join us for a cuppa!
