I am Head of Residential Conveyancing at David Gray Solicitors.

I act in residential house sales and purchases, re-mortgages, Council Right to Buys, transfers of equity and buy to lets. I have also spent some time dealing with freehold purchases and Lease extensions.

Having recently moved house with my family I am all too well aware of the pressure involved when buying and selling a property. It does not matter whether you are a first-time buyer or a seasoned landlord buying your next rental property, I will always try my very best to ensure the transaction runs smoothly and completes with as little stress or anxiety to you. I will guide you through the process and will always routinely update a client. I regularly communicate with clients via email or over the phone and am always available to discuss any concerns.

I feel it is important to understand from a client whether there are any time constraints or issues surrounding the property transaction and will work towards these if necessary. Selling or buying a property can be extremely stressful and a large part of my role as your solicitor is to alleviate this as much as I can and move things on in a swift and efficient manner.

I also regularly provide advice to elderly clients about the transfer of the family home, and liability for care home fees. This is becoming an ever-increasing issue for families with our ageing population. I feel it is important to provide all-round advice to a client and their family about the implications and issues involved.

I have previously assisted clients with Probate matters, will making, powers of attorney, trust administration and estate/Inheritance Tax planning in our Private Client Department. These sensitive areas of lifetime issues and planning require careful consideration.

I have a Law degree from Cardiff University and have worked in various law firms in the North East since 2006. I joined David Gray Solicitors in 2010 as a paralegal and qualified as a Solicitor in 2014; I have worked in the Property and Private Client Department since then.
