Katelin Steel

I am a Trainee Solicitor in the Crime Department.  My responsibilities include drafting court documents, preparing legal aid applications and attending court hearings.

I understand that court proceedings can be a difficult process, and I aim to bring a passionate, effective, and easy to understand approach. Court can be difficult to navigate and I am empathetic and I can explain the process in a way that you understand.

I graduated from the University of Hull in 2022 with a first-class degree in Law and Legislative Studies. I then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course with the LLM incorporation at Northumbria, graduating with a commendation in 2023.

I began my career at David Gray as a paralegal in the family department, assisting in public law children matters and domestic abuse work until commencing my training contract.
