Over three million people are injured in accidents each year, at home, in their cars, at work or outdoors. In many cases, someone else or something else is at fault and many accident victims have a right to compensation.
Although personal injury law is complicated, with the help of a Solicitor the process of making a claim can be quite straight forward. At David Gray Solicitors LLP, our team of experts specialise in personal injury law. We are members of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) which recognises our commitment to providing the best service in personal injury cases.
But what about my insurance?
Personal injury law is complicated, and many insurers use case handlers who are not legally trained. On average, people get two to three times more compensation if they consult a Solicitor, accordingly to the Financial Services Authority – getting expert advice really does pay!
What is involved?
When you contact David Gray Solicitors LLP, we will take all of the information about your personal injury claim and will give you advice about whether we think you have a good case. If you do, we will prepare a letter of claim to send to the defendant, setting out the details of your injuries and the circumstances in which it took place. If you need an expert opinion, such as from a doctor, we will arrange for you to see a specialist.
The person you are holding responsible for your accident (the Defendant) then has to investigate and reply to your claim within a fixed period, and tell us whether they accept or deny liability. Our specialist team will then be able to tell you what we think your claim is worth and enter into negotiations with the Defendant on your behalf.
If we cannot settle for a fair amount out of Court, we will advise on whether to start legal action.
What will it cost me?
Nothing! If we take your case on, we are prepared to act for you under a No Win No Fee agreement. This means that we will recover our legal fees from the other side.
