Elizabeth Brown

I have experience dealing with the breakdown of all types of relationships and the issues that arise from this including separation, divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, arrangements for children and the financial issues that may result following both separation and divorce.

I am committed to both a high level of client care and to reassuring and supporting my clients through one of the most emotional and stressful times of their lives. I always approach matters with empathy and ensure that I give clear advice tailored to the needs of the individual client and their family.

Background

I studied for my LLB Law (Exempting) Degree at Northumbria University gaining a 2:1 degree in 2001. I have over 21 years’ experience practising exclusively in family law having qualified in April 2004. I began my career in 2002 with a solicitors practice with branches in Gateshead and Wearside. During my career, I have worked across Tyneside and Northumberland. In 2009 I was one of the founding members of a team of solicitors working for a charity based in Northumberland offering advice and representation on a not-for-profit basis, with a particular emphasis on victims of domestic abuse and serving the rural communities of Northumberland. More recently I have worked in Gosforth, Newcastle with a focus on client’s going through separation and divorce and dealing with issues relating to the parties finances.
