Brian is a partner within the firm and heads the criminal law and motoring teams at David Gray Solicitors LLP.
He practices in all matters related to criminal defence law from police station representation through to representing clients at magistrates‘ and Crown Courts. He also has a higher court advocate representing defendants in the crown court and court of appeal.

Brian is known for representing in difficult cases. He has represented defendants facing serious charges including murder, rape, sexual offences, extensive drug importations and supply, violent crime, white-collar crime, proceeds of crime and regulatory crime.
The crown court can be intimidating for any defendant. Brian will ensure you understand every stage of the proceedings and assist you in making difficult decisions and ensure you are listened to.

He has also appeared in a number of inquests, including; death in a care home, death in police custody and death of a motorcyclist following a police chase, as well as acting on behalf of families following the death of a relative in prison.
Brian has been involved in a wide variety of cases including, gangland murder, murder of children and murder by children. He has conducted a number of drug importation cases, supply cases, organised football violence cases, environmental prosecutions and applications under the proceeds of crime act.
Brian has specialised in criminal law since 1995 and is a qualified duty solicitor, member of the Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme and a supervisor.
