As a dedicated solicitor in the Crime and motoring departments, Josh specialises in representing clients at every stage of the criminal justice process. He is also a fully accredited duty solicitor and Higher Court Advocate, providing advice and representation in the police station, magistrates’ court and Crown Court.

Josh has handled a wide array of cases, including financial crime, drug-related offences, violent crime, motoring offences, and online offences. His client base is equally diverse, encompassing individuals from all walks of life such as children, vulnerable adults, and those requiring interpreters or intermediaries. He also has experience representing patients detained under the Mental Health Act.

In the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court, Josh has successfully represented clients across a spectrum of criminal proceedings. He confidently navigates complex legal issues and delivers effective, tailored support to anyone facing criminal charges. Clients consistently provide very positive feedback, not only about the results achieved in court, but also about the way he keeps them informed about the progress of their cases and reassures them throughout proceedings.

His professional background is equally varied. Before qualifying as a solicitor, Josh trained extensively in the family law and mental health departments, gaining a holistic understanding of the law’s many facets. He has a particular interest in the intersection between criminal and mental health law, which enables him to offer informed, compassionate representation to clients with unique needs.

Josh graduated from Oxford University in 2016 with a degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE). He then completed his Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and was awarded the Prize for Best Performance in his year group. Following that, he completed the Legal Practice Course (LPC) master’s programme at Northumbria University with distinction. His academic background equips him to navigate complex areas of law and secure the best results for clients. He takes time to explain the process so that clients know what to expect and tailors his advice to each individual’s specific situation.
