Skip to contentI am a family law Solicitor specialising in care proceedings.
My work includes all areas of family law, however I have a particular interest in care proceedings and child protection work. I advise and represent parents, family members and children via their Guardians in court. I have significant experience of cases which deal with allegations of sexual abuse, non-accidental injuries, shaken baby syndrome, death of a child, faked illness, teenage parents and complex cultural issues including honour violence and forced marriage.
I also have wealth of experience in divorce matters, domestic violence and private law arrangements regarding children.
I understand that it can be a daunting and overwhelming time for parents at the outset of court proceedings. I am committed to providing clear, concise and realistic advice to clients. I regularly undertake advocacy and appear in court to represent clients.
I am a member of Resolution. Resolution is an organisation of family lawyers and other professionals who are committed to taking a non-confrontational approach and considering the needs of the whole family and, in particular, the best interests of the children, when resolving family law disputes.
I have been a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel since 2013, which means that I can represent children within court proceedings.
I studied law at Northumbria University, graduating in 2006, prior to qualifying as a Solicitor in 2008. I began working at David Gray Solicitors LLP in July 2016 and am proud to sit on the local Woman Lawyers Division (WLD) committee.
