I work in partnership with members of the Family Law Team. My focus is upon the personal/ emotional aspects of separation and divorce. Team members and I have the shared aim of trying to provide clients with a holistic service that meets their presented needs at a time of major family change.
Working together with mediator colleagues, we have been able to assist a significant number of clients in states of relatively high conflict, to move forward to agreed outcomes. An increasing number of progressive Family Lawyers in other practices are ready to share cases and work together towards Dispute Resolution.
I have published regularly on practice matters in the Family Law Journal (most recently in November 2018.) and am registered with the Health Care Professional Council.
Following Social Work training (CQSW) at Leeds University I undertook an MA in Applied Social Studies at Bradford University. Prior to that I worked as a Probation Officer for a period and became a manager in the Family Court Welfare Service. I subsequently worked as Mediator, worked in CAMHS, and delivered training and consultations to CAFCASS staff. I trained as a Family Consultant in 2012.
