Skip to contentMy particular speciality and interest lies with care for elderly people, dealing with lasting and enduring powers of attorney, the office of the public guardian and the court of protection. I am able to provide advice to clients on all issues of will making and the administration of deceased estates. I also act as attorney and deputy in the court of protection.
I qualified as a solicitor in 1990 and have represented clients in property matters ever since. I am also a partner in David Gray Solicitors LLP with responsibility for the strategic planning and day-to-day running of the property department.
I have experience and in-depth knowledge in all areas of elderly care, wills, probate and trusts, conveyancing and business advice.
I know that dealing with an estate following a death can be a daunting and complex task for many people and I aim to lighten the load and help people at a difficult time with a sympathetic and efficient service.
I am a member of Solicitors for the Elderly, the association of lawyers specialising in legal services for older people and their carers. The aim of this national association is to improve the knowledge and service provided on legal issues including, tax planning, wills, enduring powers of attorney, long-term social and health care and other retirement.
I also provide advice on business matters including all aspects of commercial property, partnership agreements and other business law. I act for both landlords and tenants.
I head a team dealing with residential and business conveyancing including property sales and purchases. I know that moving house can be stressful and I aim to make things proceed with the minimum of fuss and stress and to support you all the way.
On the commercial side, I advise on landlord and tenant matters including granting and renewing leases. I deal with the purchasing and sale of businesses and small business matters. I am very focused on the needs of clients and aim to provide prompt clear advice in plain English.
The property department of David Gray Solicitors LLP is accredited by The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS). This scheme provides a recognised quality standard for residential conveyancing practices. Achievement of membership establishes a level of credibility for member firms with stakeholders (regulators, lenders, insurers and consumers).
I advise local publications and radio on the law surrounding property and wills & probate:
