I am a solicitor working in the family department and have experience in a wide range of family law issues including Care Order proceedings, divorce, finance and separation, domestic abuse and private children matters.
I also have experience in Court of Protection matters, specifically in situations where individuals are subject to the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards in a care home or hospital.
During my training I gained experience in criminal law, wills and conveyancing and mental health law, obtaining the law society mental health accreditation allowing me to represent patients detained under the Mental Health Act at their mental health tribunal.
My clients will often see me at what is a difficult and very sensitive time. I will always take an understanding and supportive approach, ensuring that they are fully informed throughout and that they receive clear advice which is tailored to their individual needs and circumstances.
I graduated from Northumbria University with a first class law degree (MLaw) in 2013. I trained with David Gray Solicitors and qualified as a solicitor in April 2017. I spent a brief period of time working within the Child Care legal team at Newcastle City Council following qualification before returning to the family department at David Gray Solicitors in September 2019.
