After graduating from Northumbria University in 2013 with a Masters degree in Law I completed my training contract at a firm in Teesside focusing mainly on family and civil work. I qualified in January 2016 and have 5 years of family law experience.
I now focus primarily on Family Law. I am a member of Resolution, and I have a specialist accreditation in both Complex Financial Remedies, and Trusts of Land and Cohabitation Claims. I came in the top 3 of the country during the examination process.
I also head up our Domestic Abuse Team with my colleague Gael Phillips. We work with a team of Lawyers to liaise with domestic abuse charities to support and provide emergency advice to victims of domestic abuse.
I am also able to advise in respect of all Private Children issues and I have experience in dealing with emergency applications, including abduction cases and Prohibited Steps Orders. I am also used to dealing with complex cases involving allegations of domestic abuse, child abuse, drug and alcohol misuse, and local authority involvement.
I have previous experience of civil practice; therefore, I am also able to advise on Settlement and Compromise Agreements in relation to employment law.
